The Misol-Ha waterfall in Chiapas, Mexico. We only had 30 minutes, but we could easily spend a couple hours here! #Waterfall #Nature #Mexico #Chiapas #Hiking
It's well-known in cine-culture as the "Predator" waterfall, but Misol-Ha (it's real name) needs no cultural reference. It is flocked to and admired for its rugged, steamy beauty and the cool, carved rock shelf beneath which visitors can stand and feel the body-numbing force of the water as it thunders down in front of them. The little hike down to the back of the falls is slippery but worth it (wear sturdy shoes!). It's pool is also the perfect place for a quick dip. The eco lodge there offers cabins near the falls as well as a restaurant. Well worth a day trip or a stay. • http://www.misol-ha.com/en/index.html • #Chiapas #Mexico #waterfalls #jungle #cabins #cinetrove #localgem
